Attention: Parents, social workers, teachers, youth care workers & mentors ...
Would you like to teach your child the most important skills they will ever learn?
Introducing The Heart Full of Sole running program...
There are no simple solutions to the problems facing our communities and youth. Physical training can be as critical as other educational or therapeutic strategies for not only changing unhealthy behavior but also positively impacting values and psychological functioning.
Some of our most challenged youth live in extremely negative environments. These young people lack basic life skills and values, placing them at-risk for developing serious behaviors. No matter what the problem or the causes, the perceptions and statistics clearly indicate large numbers of these children are becoming more and more alienated from society.
Physical fitness can provide purpose and meaning. This program aims to make physical fitness the agent of change. Each participant will develop a blueprint for discovery and continual, self-sustaining growth.
Barry Smith has been a front line Child & Youth Care Worker for over 10 years; he is the architect of a fitness and life skill program called The Heart Full of Sole running program.
Developed specifically for at-risk youth, The Heart Full of Sole curriculum is 100% strength based. The program teaches health and fitness as a life skill and aims to prevent and curb youth crime, violence, and substance abuse. The program uses formal instruction accompanied by an activity book entitled Become An Expert In You: The Fitness & Life Activity Book.
If you have a child you think would benefit from this program, please email Barry at info@thecageathletics.com for a referal brochure or inquire about our upcoming information sessions. We provide life strategies that promote healthy choices and smart habits.
